What is our fascination with spotting famous people in public places? And why did I react to embarrassingly when I bumped into Lenny Henry?
Posted by Simon Beale on March 20, 2008 at 09:08AMAfter watching the brilliant Dancing on Ice on Sunday, it looks like we'll all be copying them as London braces itself for an Arctic Blast.
Posted by Simon Beale on March 18, 2008 at 09:32AMIn a pub quiz, I thought I would specialise in the "Life in the UK" round, but how wrong I was. Can any of you do any better than me at these questions?
Posted by Simon Beale on March 14, 2008 at 10:44AMDid you hear the story about councils putting padding on lampposts to stop texters bumping into them? Is the country going mad?
Posted by Simon Beale on March 05, 2008 at 09:18AMSo, what shall we do with it? This only happens every 4 years, so surely we should be making the most of an extra day.
Posted by Simon Beale on February 29, 2008 at 13:12PMIt was Oscar weekend, so we got a couple of the nominated movies out. Now, is it just me becoming more thick, or are films getting harder to understand?!
Posted by Simon Beale on February 26, 2008 at 11:13AMIt's half-term this week, so we decided to take the Beale kids out for the day with the aim that most parents have ... not to spend any money! We succeeded on that, but things went wrong in another way instead!
Posted by Simon Beale on February 20, 2008 at 08:50AMAs the presenter of Heartbreakers, it would just be wrong for me not to write a blog on February 14th wouldn't it? But as Mrs Beale will tell you, I'm not that great at romantic surprises!
Posted by Simon Beale on February 14, 2008 at 09:02AMFollowing my plan a couple of weeks ago to start getting fit, I thought I'd better update you quickly on how it's going. Well, I did some more cycling last weekend and to be honest, I was exhausted after about 10 minutes - so, hmmm, needs some more work. And as for drinking 2 litres of water every day, I've just about kept it up - and the effect it's had on me? .... so far .... none. Well, to the best of my knowledge. Maybe it just takes a while to kick in. I certainly hope SOMETHING changes as it IS the most boring drink in the world. And before you say anything Gareth... no I'm not joining you on the Marathon!!
Posted by Simon Beale on February 08, 2008 at 15:31PMPersonally, I'm a boring sugar and lemon man ... although cherry pie filling is also high on the list of fillings I'll be opting for later. Mmmmm - LOVE pancakes. You're going to think I'm always talking about food, what with this and my video tour of Borough Market the other week. I promise you, I'm not ALWAYS thinking about my stomach.
