The Worst Inventions
Did you see that story yesterday about the best and worst inventions? The survey results praised the internet, the wheel and votes for women. But with the best, comes the worst and plastic bags, capital punishment and the credit card all got the big thumbs down. The Atom Bomb was voted the worst invention ever (understandably), and at No2 ... yes, No2 ... Reality TV?! (maybe a bit harsh).
So I'd like to add to the list.
Firstly, flip flops. The only shoe that's difficult to walk in. Surely, the purpose of a shoe is that it helps you to...er... ok you get my drift.
Secondly. clothes for dogs. You know the ones - those tartan little coats that dog owners wrap around their pets to keep them warm. But isn't that the reason they've got ... hair all over?!
Number 3 ... Pay Toilets. Do you honestly go to the loo having full confidence that the door won't slide back open to expose you to every passer by?? It's just too scary.
Four. Window seats on the London Underground. They're the seats near the end doors that you lean against when all the proper seats are taken. They slope slightly, so you can never really sit on them properly and I always bang my head! I think I'll stand.
Finally, the eject button on remote controls. Why is it there? Do you eject a DVD from the machine with the remote and think "Oh, I'll take that out in a couple of hours". No! You need to get out your chair anyway, so it's hardly a time-saver is it?
Rant over!
Email me with any more. Have a great Thursday - see you tonight at 10.
