Big Brother: Day 31

They've been in there one month today! ... and still a couple to go. Hang on in there people. If we all pull together, we'll make it to the end. Although the end (scheduled early September) feels a long way off, 'cause just as we think we're getting the numbers down ... they throw a load more house-mates in!

Last night, Jennifer was the 3rd person to be evicted from this year's house. (By the way, please note my 100% success rate on predictions so far. I thank you. No, really, hold back your applause ... oh you have). She walked down the metal steps to a large booooo from the crowd and when asked by Davina how she found it, "hard" was her reply. During the interview, I think she came to realise the "paint-gate" drama was a turning point for her and the Big Brother crowd underlined that even more.

So, see ya Jen - enjoy your new life in Heat Magazine and Chinawhites - it's been real.

Time to bring in 3 new friends for the Summer:

SARA

... a 27 year old Australian who's hoping there's a hunk lying in wait for her in the house. Bit of an Angelina Jolie look-a-like. She reckons she's hard to live with, and given that she loves listening in to everyone's conversations and twice won an award for being the loudest person in the office - you can believe that'll be the case. She says she's "fun, single and a really good flirt". Oooh. I wonder why Big Brother chose her?

MAYSOON

... a 28 year old model from Hertfordshire. She is determined to be the first model on TV with personality and a brain. She's appeared in a few music videos and would like to point out she's a REAL model - yes, she actually get's paid for it. In her audition, Maysoon said "people presume I'm stuck up and love myself" ... well, we'll now get to see if first impressions count!

BELINDA

... a 44 year old married mum of two from Exeter. She calls herself radical, intellectual and argumentative. She's an artistic director for a theatre group, but admits she doesn't work much as her husband's a high earner! She describes herself as "the voice of the voiceless" claiming to be passionate about marginalised people, especially the homeless. By the way, what a dress! I think I saw that lower half made on Blue Peter once with tissue paper....?

Finally, two amusing / annoying observations when new house-mates enter the house:

1) If it's girls (as it was last night), most of the guys just sit there with their mouths open like they've never seen a woman before.

and

2) Can someone please shut Bex away in a small room every time there's any potential excitement on the horizon. Whether it's the store-room door opening or a new house-mate walking in, she screams...and screams...and screams. Still, at least she kept her clothes on. I guess we should be grateful.

Have a great weekend - good luck on the Mamma Mia Greece giveaway ... by the way, saw the movie yesterday - it's fantastic.

See ya!

Simon
