Day 48: A weekend recap

To say a lot has happened in the house over the weekend is the understatement of the year. So, here's a very quick re-cap:

- Belinda Belinda Belinda got evicted
- On Saturday, the remaining 13 had to choose 3 housemates who could compete to be the new Head Of House (replacing Darnell).
- Rebecca, Dale and Maysoon were elected and had to dress up in gorilla outfits, as well as stay on a monkey swing for as long as they could.
- In the words of Stuart "it took Bex longer to put her gorilla suit on than it did to stay on the swing". A poor effort of about 4 minutes!
- Dale ended up winning, hanging on in there (literally) til the early hours of Sunday.
- He chose Stu, Rex, Luke, Maysoon and Bex to live with him on the heavenly side of the house. The rest went to Hell and Dale becomes the new boss as well as immune from Friday's eviction.
- The housemates from Heaven got treated to food, alcohol and a silent disco to celebrate their first night in the lap of luxury.
- Rebecca took her clothes off again in a truth or dare game (you could've seen that coming, couldn't you?)
- and Luke and Bex's relationship continues to go from strength to strength, sharing 20 minutes under the duvet (I don't really want to know what happened there...eww..) and late last night they shared a very bubbly bath. Watch out Lukey ... she'll have you for Breakfast!

So there you are. They're one housemate down and most of them have swapped beds and lifestyles. Not bad for a weekend's work.

By the way, cast your mind back to last week and you might remember the housemates from Hell had to win their right to nominate by peeling potatoes. Well, it was a similar story yesterday when they had to peel and chop onions for a chance to get in that Diary Room chair. Hardly fair, given that most of them were crying anyway at being on the horrid side of the house. Find out who they chose later on today. Also, the heavenly housemates were treated to an Indian takeaway last night ... with lager. Even typing this has made me hungry. Expect the obvious jealous comments and looks of envy from those in hell. In fact, to be honest, I'm slightly jealous myself as I could down a Balti or Chicken Tikka Masala quite happily right now.

Finally, as we've passed the half-way point and I'm off on hols later this week, it could be a good time to start predicting who might become Big Brother's 9th winner in early September. Even the housemates themselves have been placing their bets. During a conversation in the garden over the weekend, Rex asked everyone who they thought might clinch the top position and the £100,000 prize. The names that got a few mentions were Dale, Kat and Mo. Rex even thinks Luke stands a chance if he's not kicked out in the next couple of weeks. Personally, I think Kat is looking a likely winner at the moment, but a lot could change in the next 45 days ... as just the last weekend has proved!
