We'll All Be Dancing On Ice

So how was your weekend? Mine was very lazy (just how I like it), finished off with the Family Beale around the TV watching the Dancing On Ice final on Sunday night. I have to say, Suzanne Shaw was OUTSTANDING. Her flying routine was breathtaking and completely faultless. I know she wasn't the bookies favourite, but if you're judging it on the performances during the final, the best person won without doubt.

Our 2-year-old son, Isaac, insists on imitating the dance routines on our lounge carpet when each show finishes. When I saw the required element this week was "flying", I had visions of him hanging from the lampshade yelling "look at meeeeeeee". Fortunately, he managed to keep both his feet firmly on the ground.

Thing is, don't know if you saw yesterday's papers, but it looks like we could all be trying out some ice moves this weekend as they're warning of an Arctic blast of heavy SNOW. Altogether now..."I'm dreaming of a White Easter...". Maybe not.

According to one report, emergency services and transport chiefs are on alert for travel mayhem as temperatures could plunge to minus 8 celcius (ouch) hitting us on Thursday and lasting til Easter Sunday. And you thought last night was cold! I even read in one paper that drivers are being advised to carry spare warm clothes, food and drink and to ensure mobiles are fully charged. The nation's on standby!

And this is all two weeks before the clocks change for British SUMMERTIME.

I'm struggling to keep up. All of a sudden I feel sorry for Michael Fish.

Wrap up warm!

Simon
