What's it about? A monster attacks New York, and the whole thing is caught on camcorder by a group of friends.
What type of film is it? Sci-Fi Action
Is it any good? Its jaw dropping stuff but you will have to have a strong stomach to cope with the constantly moving camera. The first 20 minutes or so are boring as the characters are introduced at a party, but after that the film moves along at a break neck pace. It’s short too which means they don’t over egg the whole thing – it’s just 125 minutes long – although it would have been even more intense if they’d kept the monster a bit more concealed for longer… however, due to it's sheer scale, it's probably the most phenomenal films of the 2008.
