Is it any good? This is a nice twist on the genre and despite being shockingly saccharine in places, it still manages to entertain. Ryan Reynolds manages to ditch his usual on-screen arrogance to be quite endearing and fun to watch. Yes, it is corny but Definitely Maybe is also uplifting, heart warming and hilarious – and in places it is also laugh out loud funny. This won’t win any Oscars but it is exactly what you’d expect from the guy who wrote Wimbledon and Bridget Jones: Edge Of Reason.
