Watch The London Goat Race

Friday March 28

GR Cheggers On The Telly

Heart Breakfast went out on the road today ahead of the Boat Race on Saturday.

Jamie and Harriet sent chief Breakfast reporter Keith Chegwin out to the finish line at Putney Bridge during the show.

And, possibly due to a crackly phone line when they were talking to Cheggers, he organised the London Goat Race.

You heard it on Heart Breakfast this morning, but we know what you really want... you want to watch goats running down a street in London - all filmed by Goat-Cam!

Just click on the image below to watch the video.

Goat Race Facts & Figures:

* Mother Maddie (age 3) will be racing her daughter Maizie (10 months – she’s just a kid!)

* They are British Alpine goats. They can be used as milking goats, but Maddie & Maizie aren’t

* They’re mainly black with white markings

* Maizie's grandmother, Dresden, lives with them, but at 10 years old next month; she’s a bit too old to travel!

* They live with a Toggenburg goat and two Alpacas but they couldn’t make it.

* Maddie, who will be racing for Oxford, has the most experience and is a little heavier (65-70kg) so goes into the race as favourite, but we can’t discount Maizie, who will be racing for Cambridge, as she has youth on her side.
